News @ Jains - Jain Irrigation Systems wins Maharashtra Vanashree Award

Jalgaon, 22 Feb, 2011 - The city-based irrigation-equipment maker Jain Irrigation Systems Limited, has won the first rank in the Maharashtra State Vanashree Award for the year 2007 from Rural Development and Water Conservation and Social Forestry Department of Government of Maharashtra.

Mr.V.B.Patil, Jain Irrigations Chief Agronomist has received the award, which was conferred by the Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr.Prithviraj Chavan at Yashda Training Centre in Pune. The award includes a honour and an amount of Rs.50,000.

The grand award ceremony witnesses, Water Conservation Minister Dr.Nitin Raut, MLA Mr.Vinayakrao Nimhan, Chief Secretary of Water Conservation Department Mr.V.Giriraj, Divisional Commissioner of Pune, Mr. Dilip Bund and Senior Officers form the Social Forestry, Water Conservation and Rural Development Department of Government of Maharashtra.

Jain Irrigation Systems Limited primarily manufactures and sells irrigation systems, piping products, and plastic sheets. It offers irrigation systems and components comprising drip irrigation systems, sprinkler irrigation systems, plastic control and safety valves, fertigation systems and chemigation equipment, and water filters.
